Hamta Circle/Circuit Trek with Sethan Dome 4200 Meters
Often confused with Hampta Pass, Hampta Circle or Circuit is a different trek which explore the hampta valley without chasing the crowd people encounter during hampta pass trek. Its a beginners trek and can be completed in relative short time frame, it gives immensely beautiful panaromic views of Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal Mountain ranges at 4200 Meters and takes you one of the finest ski slopes in Kullu District of Himachal. You encounter lush green forests and beautiful green meadows and panaromic 360 degrees of the snow clad mountain peaks like Indrasan 6223 Meters and Deotibba at 6001 Meters.
The trek starts from Manali, on day 1 you can travel around the city and explore the mall road, market area and enjoy mouth watering delicious cuisines and shopping. In the evening we will transport you to our wonderful campsite and guest house in Hampta Valley at 2600 meters overlooking Manali town from 2000 feet above offering panoramic views of Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges and Manali town all the way till patlikuhal and kullu. You will be staying at Nirvana Hamta Retreat our guest house in hampta from where the trek begins. In the evening enjoy the spellbinding view as all the hotels and houses in Manali will lit up just like stars have came down from heaven, enjoy night photography and astro photography or star gazing as on a clear sky the milky way is fully visible in Hampta.

Our Itinerary for Hamta Circle/Circuit Trek is as follows:-
Day 1- Arrival in Manali, local sight seeing and Transport to Hamta Guest House near Sethan Igloo Village:- Arrive at Manali and after some sight seeing transport to Hamta Valley at our guest house Nirvana Hamta Retreat situated at 8500 feet (2000 feet above Manali) and merely 2 kilometers short of Igloo Village, Sethan. Relax as the valley is famous for providing pristine views and serenity at an impressive altitude of 2700 Meters (9000 Feet) while merely half hour drive from Manali..
Hampta is also famous as a coveted SKI and Snowboarding destination, Igloo Village and for bouldering festivals. In winters hampta valley becomes a ski and snow boarders paradise as it remains covered with snow sometimes even till March and April. It’s also popular for Igloo Stays, snow drives, snow trek and famous treks like hampta pass, hampta circle and wonderful meadows of chikka.
Day 2 - Trek to Kharmandiyari:- We will start our trek from our guest house and walk through river stream, waterfalls and dense forest to reach our base camp at Kharmandiyari. This is the area where the tree line is exhausted and you come across massive meadows offering panaromic views. There is an impressive settlement of shepherds which look like ancient ruins at such high altitude. We will camp near a water stream at these slopes which are considered the best in the world for skii and snowboarding. and is famous spot for heli sking in Manali. We camp here tonight.
Day 3- Trek to Sethan Dome 4200 Meters: and return to Kharmandiyari- Sethan Dome offers panaromic 360 degrees views of Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal Mountain Ranges and vast meadows above tree line of Sethan. This is one of the most popular area for heli ski in Manali as these ski slopes are considered the best in the world. From the dome you can have marvelous views of Deo Tibba and Indrasan from up close and the entire kullu and manali valley on your west. The area during summers is carpeted with beautiful wild flowers and you can still see glaciers and snow patches in early summers. A little towards the north you will also see the trail of hampta pass trek right upto chikka and jobri dam. After spending some time here we will return to our camp at Kharmandiyari.
Day 4 :- Trek downhill to Jobri and trek to chikka and camp or return to Manali:- We can go downhill from here towards Jobri and from there to Manali and extend another night and trek to wonderful meadows of chikka or Jwara and camp there on hampta pass trek route. Depends on how much time we we have. Both options are possible.
Day 5- Return to Manali:- Today we will return to Manali by trekking or via cab.
