Indrahara Pass Trek
Indrahara Pass is one of the most visited and stunning treks of Dhauladhars and you reach and impressive altitude of 4350 meters over over the snowbound Dhauladhar range. Rated as moderate path, this trek will take you through green pastures, dense Deodar and Rhododendron forests. You will get spectacular views of sacred peak of Mani Mahesh Kailash and the snow-covered Pir Panjal Range to the north while to the south you can see the amazing Indian plains till the far horizon. Trekking on this route will offer an ultimate adventurous experience as this trek comprises of continuous climbing often over boulders. Initially, this trek begins with a steady climb through the Himalayan region and turns into a steep climb. You will experience walking through rich wildlife areas and witness wild goats, leopard and Monal bird. The best season to visit this trek is between mid May to June and September to mid October. This enthralling journey will take you through the scenic marvels and opulent beauty of the Himalayan Ranges. Passing mostly through the Dhauladhar Range of the Himalayas, the trek gets over within 4 days and offers ample of challenges and difficulties. In addition to explore and discover the natural beauty and the fascinating charm of the high Indrahar Pass, the trekkers will also get to explore and enjoy camping around the Lahesh Caves on their way. The panoramic views of Dhauladhar and other Himalayan peaks are the add-ons of this astounding trek. The most popular trek on the pass is a go to and come back because a lot of foreign tourists have their luggage at McLeodganj. Then there are those who pass the cross over to Chamba.
Day 01: Triund Hill (2900 Meters)
Trek from Dharamkot to Triund Hill (9 Kms, 4Hrs) Have your breakfast and we will start walking towards the well laid trekking trail towards Triund. Triund trekking trail is steep ascent and takes around 4-5 hours of trekking through dense forest of oak, pine, rhododendron and deodar trees. Arrive at Triund hill and check into forest lodge or set up our camp. You can see beautiful views of Dhauladhar range, Mun and its sister peaks. Being the point where you can view Three Mountain Peaks in their full glory this magnificent meadow is called Tri-und. Day 02: Laka Got (Laka Glacier)/Lahesh Caves (3300 meters) Trek from Triund hill to Laka Got (6 Kms, 4 Hrs) Laka Got is situated at the snout of a small glacier which remains full of snow till June. Setup the camp and enjoy the beautiful vistas with hot tea and bonfire. Overnight stay in tents. Day 03: Indrahara Pass and Laka Got (4350 meters) Trek from Laka Got to Indrahar Pass and back to Laka Got (10 Kms, 7Hrs) After an early breakfast we start the If we start early then we get enough time to enjoy the stunning views from the Indrahar Pass. From the Indrahar Pass you can have amazing views of majestic peaks of Pir Panjal range of central Himalayas. If you want to enjoy snow trekking then till June you will be trekking through snow glaciers. After enjoying the view we will descend back towards Triund Day 04- Back to Triund and Mcleodganj We reach back to Mcleodgang, enjoy good food and shopping, collect souvenirs for loved ones and head back to Delhi on an overnight volvo.
